Breakfast burritos

I like the idea of breakfast burritos that can be made ahead and frozen. I’ve got bacon lardons, sausage meat, hash browns and baked beans for the filling. Question is, do I include scrambled eggs or will that make them soggy when I reheat??

I think the beans will be more soggy - leave them out, add the eggs and it’ll be good. Wee bit of grated cheese is nice too.

I'm sorry, but that sounds absolutely disgusting. I can't see how that would work with any of it.

Took your advice and left out the beans. The one I just made tastes absolutely delicious! I think the hash brown will help absorb any moisture from the eggs as well. Currently letting them all the ingredients cool down before I wrap and freeze. Very excited for the next week of breakfasts!

Breakfast Burritos are nice but only if made fresh
We make a bean/veg mix and freeze that part but you need to use fresh tortilla/wrap and do the eggs and other bits fresh each time. It only takes minutes and is not soggy and vile like it would be if you freeze the whole thing

God sometimes I think I just want to torture myself
by coming into food threads!

Eggs are the main ingredient in a breakfast burrito. It's usually eggs, avocado, cheese, tomato salsa and maybe some sort of meat. Yours is more of a wrap than a burrito if it hasn't got anything vaguely TexMex in it.
I think lots of people freeze them and the eggs and avocado are fine.

Honestly it was delicious! I will report back tomorrow morning on what it tastes like reheated. I made them using small tortilla wraps for portion control so I’m already thinking about where I can hide them in the freezer so my DH doesn’t scoff them all in one sitting!

You’re right, they are wraps rather than burritos.
