my ex and I went no contact since dd was 9 months old, he was abusive but told everyone on his side I used him to have a baby totally untrue. He refused to pay any maintenance and once I got child maintenance involved he paid once in a while then moved to the UAE to work and earn thousands.
When he came back in the U.K. he had arrears however then it changed to the child maintenance service ( current one) who said they couldn’t enforce the arrears due to the country he was living in it was exempt or something anyway at the time I checked it all out and it was correct Dubai was on the excemp list . This was a good few years ago.
So anyway CMS contacted him and even tho the arrears were wiped which was very unfair , they set up direct pay and he’s paid this for the last two years fine , dd is now 16 and in sixth form so still receiving it however I seen he put in a appeal to cms in sept claiming she’s not in education which obviously got rejected.
I am just wondering when it will actually stop she will be in sixth form until July 2027 and would turn 18 that August.
He doesn’t want any contact or not seen daughter since she was around 10 months old .
We don’t have any contact details for each other so the direct pay is through CMS
although I tried a few years ago as his father owns a few businesses I called him to see if he wanted to share his sons phone number or to get to know his granddaughter but he also refused.
