Tell me this will pass

Took half term off as unpaid parental leave - spent second half of it in bed with flu which has now apparently turned into a stomach bug. Was meant to be unpacking - moved house three weeks ago and eldest is so unhappy about it (ND teen struggling in many ways). I just want my old home and my lovely positive late DH right now. Please someone tell me things will improve!

My ds was a horror at 16. Knew everything, wouldn't take advice on anything, lazy, could be really quite rude. Now he's 19, got a job and a bit of independence and he's just lovely. It really will pass. He's talking about renting a flat with pals and I'll really miss him if he moves out. At 16 I'd have happily paid his rent myself to get some peace back in the house.

I hope you feel better soon and can get some boxes unpacked to make your place feel a tiny bit more like home.

I’m even worse this morning, the nausea is hideous

DS was meant to be at college at 9, still faffing around downstairs

Don’t worry- he’ll be late as a one off, it doesn’t matter. Don’t stress. Just small sips of water. Rest, rest and more rest.

Well he was late yesterday too, and left both days before English and Maths 🙄 nothing I can do, though, even when I’m well. He’s the only one who can sort himself out

I’ve slept half the day. Still feeling so sick 😭

Today has included more illness, the police, and a locksmith…
