Computer games?

DD13 has said she would like a computer game for Christmas. Very specific that it should be one she can play on the computer, not on the console. Not really sure where to start looking as until now we've only bought her switch games and I don't game.
What type of games are better on a computer than on a console? Any recommendations?

You search for the game name and PC version.

It’s possible that the game will be a download in which case you might want to give her the money to buy it online or there may be a way to “gift” the game to her digitally so she can click a link from an email to say that you’ve bought it for her.

If you want PC games, you need a Steam account or to go to GOG (Good Old Games).

To recommend games however, you need to know the sort of games she actually likes and what the specs on her PC are, because some of the newest games from AAA studios ask for really high specs most kids can only dream of having access to.

Set her up with a Steam account and buy her some credit on there. Then she can download what she wants.

My son plays PC games, but he always downloads them. Tbh I miss when he had his Xbox and I could wrap something up for Christmas.

She doesn't have her own pc, we have a Mac mini. Her favourite games on the switch are Minecraft, the Zelda's and Hogwarts Legacy.

The Sims or a farm game like Coral Island maybe.
