Help my heated blanket has broken

I am currently without my heated blanket and desperate for a new one. House is very expensive to heat and it makes all the difference. DH has had a go at fixing it but seems it's beyond help.

I find the ones I've bought seem to die just after the warranty expires. Can anyone recommend theirs as one that keeps working?

Hot water bottles or microwaveable wheat bags are the way to go. Heated blankets are absolutely not worth the fire risk - wouldn’t use one if you paid me.

My dreamland one broke just as the warranty was up.

If you are using it a lot maybe it is just at the end of its life.

I wear an oodie now.

We have cozee home bedding instead of a heated blanket. They are fleecy sheets / duvet cover etc and we don't miss the electric blankets. They are super cozy.

If you had told me that I'd give up my electric blanket I would never have believed you.

We have the white cozee home as they look classier than some if the patterns they have. Also once bought they don't cost anything extra unlike an electric blankets

I certainly wouldn’t be trying to fix an electric blanket it’s a fire risk
