Has anyone tried progesterone for PMDD?

I’m not able to take any types of the pill or antidepressants which are the first line treatments. Has anyone tried cyclogest ? Did it help ? I have seen it’s also a PMS treatment?
therapy isn’t helping either. I’m also autistic with adhd as well and this is unbearable.
can anyone offer advice please ?

I tried the progesterone only pill, made me feel very calm all the time. Didn't stop the mood drops. Currently awaiting to try the progesterone only coil.

I tried cerazette in the past and it made it worse ! Apparently there are different types of progesterone though ? I’m at my wits end with this it’s ruining my life

Lots of IUDs that are a lower dose of progesterone.

I really can’t cope with progesterone. It makes my already low mood even worse. I’ve found the Mirena coil works best for me, and now I’m in my late 40s a good dose of estrogen levels it all out but it’s the first time in my life I’ve felt balanced. I wish HRT was available for PMDD (or I’d known about it if it was)

I’m not allowed a coil as I have a very large isthmocele and extremely thin myometrium they told me it would be high risk for perforation
