Cadbury Time Out

Ds just very kindly offered me and dh a milkyway and time out from his halloween loot. I chose the milkyway because a time out is a tea bar. Dh thinks I've lost my mind.

For further info, a tea bar (or biscuit) is one that has to be consumed with a cup of tea. A Twix is also a tea bar, so is a penguin or Tim tam (for biscuit category clarity).

Never heard the term 'tea bar' 🤭

I agree re: Penguin and Tim Tams.

A Time Out, however, is a treat bar, not a 'tea bar' imo.

Take a break!

I agree OP. I think that chocolate and tea go very well together.

😂 Excellent response!

I also have coffee bars. A twirl is one of my coffee bars, I can't eat a twirl without a coffee. I agree that a time out 100% requires a cup of tea.

bumchic · 01/11/2025 22:33

Agree. If someone offered me a chocolate bar and produced a Time Out or a Penguin I’d think they were a psychopath.

NessShaness · 01/11/2025 22:34

You are absolutely correct.

HollywentLightly · 01/11/2025 23:07

Kit kat and especially kit kat chunky definitely fits the tea bar category. I don't do coffee so happy to take the superior knowledge of others there.

100% certifiable

A Milky Way is not a chocolate bar. It is a pointless air filled tasteless nonsense that tries to be one. I appreciate I’m missing the point.

id take a time out any day. And a Kit Kat.

HollywentLightly · 01/11/2025 23:27

It wouldn't be my first choice, but, and perhaps this is the impact of 1980s advertising, it is a nice sweet treat that won't spoil your appetite. But crucially, it does not need tea to be eaten.
