Anyone had Covid recently?

Ive had covid twice in 2022 and it was like a cold. Just caught it again 10 days ago and it has been really awful. Literally, I have never felt so unwell. Had temperature then shaking with cold, awful headache, face ache, felt weak and ended up on the couch for 4 days. Still feeling unwell despite testing negative although not at bad as first week. Absolutely full of snot (gross) and have a productive cough. Im normally fit and healthy and usually get over illnesses quickly. Thinking of checking in with GP re the coughing, etc lingering.Maybe day 10 is still early days? Previously when I had covid it was fine within 5 or 6 days.

Oh I feel your pain.
Currently on day 2 and yesterday was horrendous, woke up at midnight Thursday wet through with sweat, freezing cold and shivering yet red hot skin that hurt😞
Every bone ached and I felt like I'd been kicked in the back.
Today I'm still hot if I don't take tablets every four hours but have the chesty cough and running like a tap nose, so that's great.

I also had covid back in the day but it was a breeze compared to this, I have heard its a really awful strain this winter and everyone I know who has had it in the last few weeks has been really poorly and laid low with it.
Hope you are resting with plenty of fluids, I'm taking vitc and zinc drinks every four hours as well.
Hope you feel better soon, it's really awful x

Yes not long had it, wouldn't have known if the hospital hadn't tested me. I had something about 2 weeks earlier and I was really bad.

Yes, 3 weeks ago, felt pretty yuk, my throat was the main issue this time.

I've had it 7 times now, each version has been different in symptoms and intensity but generally a couple of weeks needed to fully recover.

I didn't test, but strongly suspect Covid. I've had it half a dozen times and usually can shrug it off quite quickly but I'm currently on Day 10 and I've STILL got a dry, scratchy throat, a dry cough and a tight chest. Aching and tired and going upstairs is hard.

I've had enough now.

This is the worst I've had it since 2020, it took more than a fortnight to recover. Its really awful, take your time and try and rest as much as possible.

It’s done the rounds here. My daughter caught it from her childminder and then passed it to the rest of us. We were all fine with it thankfully this time round and it felt just like a cold. Worst we had was the first time we caught it in 2021.

Seems there might be a few different strains of it at the moment though as my grand-manager and his family had it with different symptoms and were really sick with it.

Yes I’ve had what I’m sure must be covid. Started 15 days ago. Have felt awful. Still sleeping lots now. And the snot I’ve been left with is like concrete! Awful taste in my mouth and a headache that just won’t shift.
I’m ready to feel back to normal now.
