I have posted recently about lack of drive, so looking to get inspired.
The big company I work for - all SLT are male, bar one. All privately educated.
I am a first generation immigrant from Eastern Europe, smart but insecure and introvert but used to be very ambitious and succeeded to a “Head of” title, mid level management. It’s not about the money as such any more, I earn enough but finding out if I am capable of more and if I have conquered some of my demons by late forties.
If you do not belong to the old boys club, please tell me how you progressed through ranks - in details I can adapt and follow, rather than generic hard work. Is networking worth it? Is LinkedIn a waste of time? Do you see benefits of continuous training if you have a degree? Internal politics - ignore or navigate?
Thank you.
