Im using my app every time I shop probably about twice a week and noticed it’s not updating. My app is scanning okay and it shows I’ve used the app on my receipt. Anyone else ?

I don't think it pays rewards these days. The pounds used to build up very quickly but the last 6 months I've only managed 90p.

Bavariamaria · 01/11/2025 06:27

It's rubbish now. There's a lot online about it.

SlipperyLizard · 01/11/2025 06:28

They seem to change the rewards on a whim - I had a spending target for a few months, which I often met as I do my whole shop there, then that disappeared, now I seem to have had some Halloween “spin to win” during October but I have no idea what the ts and cs are as there’s no info on the app. Won a tenner so not complaining, but a bit weird.

Now I have a dog- related offer (I have a dog!) but nothing else. All a bit odd, didn’t their marketing team do any research on other retailers’ schemes before creating this one?

Since I moved house 6 months ago Asda is my nearest supermarket so I signed up to the app. I live alone so not a big spender unless the family are here for the weekend. I see I have £6.50 cash pot. I’ll need to investigate how to convert it to spend.

WhyamIinahandcartandwherearewegoing · 01/11/2025 06:36

It’s a really crap scheme tbh. ….

HelloCheekyCat · 01/11/2025 06:40

Since they axed the spend threshold rewards it's pointless, we never use the coupons because it's not stuff we buy but they used to be (e.g. Spend £10 on pasta/pasta sauce & get 50p)
I don't know why we bother scanning it anymore
Luckily we only shop there occasionally, Lidl is our main supermarket& their all is brilliant

Sarahpainting · 01/11/2025 06:58

Aah so not just me then.It would have been helpful of them if they’d explained, I’ve not seen anything.
I spend around £500 every month in Asda. I have a Morrisons close by, I’ll shop there next month. at least their app is working.

@Sarahpaintingthis is happening to me too. I scan it every time and the self service till recognises that it’s been scanned. But my ‘cash pots’ haven’t changed at all. I thought it must be a glitch and at some point I was going to muster up the strength to call customer service. I still think there must be an issue for literally nothing I’ve spent to register?!

There's a FB page called Asda Online Shopping. People are leaving in droves because of problems they are experiencing. I haven't been able to checkout for in excess of six weeks, so have now moved over to Tesco. Excellent Clubcard deals and the quality of food is far superior to Asda.

Zippidydoodah · 01/11/2025 07:11

I didn’t know much about this, though I had the app, until I realised that a £6.50 “cash pot” had expired!! Gutted. At least Tesco clubcard vouchers don’t expire for years.

TokyoSushi · 01/11/2025 07:18

It used to be brilliant, I used to earn about £10 per month, now you’re lucky if you can scrape together a couple of pounds per quarter!

Goosyloosy · 01/11/2025 07:19

After reading this thread I’ve had a look at my app and have selected create a voucher with my £6.50 cashpot. It says I have 90 days to use it. I’ll scan the barcode today and hope it comes off my shopping .

ThePoshUns · 01/11/2025 07:21

It used to be great especially with the blue light discount. I can understand them stopping that as it was very generous. Now it’s pathetic not worth bothering with.
i prefer the Lidl one, you get a free cake!

Marmite27 · 01/11/2025 07:24

I converted my cahshpot to the Christmas saver, and will be deleting the app after I’ve spent it. The last time I got anything was 60p for their 60th birthday!

MrsCarson · 01/11/2025 07:27

I used to get a £20 voucher every couple of months but it's taken me 6 months to get just over $10 now. I thought it was because I no longer have a blue light card connected to it as that added more cash to my app wallet.
So I've created my £10 voucher and will use it next week and that'll be the end of bothering to use the app. Even the cashier said she'd stopped bothering when I was there last week.

Scan your barcode but then you also have to go into the bit called ‘wallet’ at the bottom of the app screen. Open up the money off voucher you created, and scan that too to get the money off.

The app is almost useless now. I didn’t even get the October ‘spin to win’ on mine this year and I’m in there several times a month.

An update. Didn’t get as far as Asda until today. Opened the app to find there had been a problem over the weekend and £6 of my £6.45 cashpot had disappeared. However it had since been reinstated. It was showing as just 45p but the full £6.45 was in Wallet. I cashed it quickly before it vanished again 😄
