Sent Vinted parcel a couple of hours ago via Royal Mail and the shipping info hasn’t updated yet

Bit nervous as it’s £40 at stake and that’s a lot of money to lose. I have a receipt and a tracking number which I’ve given to the buyer, but as yet it’s still showing as though I’m yet to post.
I’m nervous the order will get cancelled and the money returned alongside the buyer getting the goods.

It won’t update until it’s picked up and scanned by the Royal Mail. Chill, it’s not instant and you have a receipt.

I don’t have a picture of the parcel annoyingly. Their tracking assistant said as long as I have a picture of the parcel and receipt/tracking then they won’t class it as not sent. Kicking myself 🙈

if you’re doing it through Vinted the tracking number should have been automatically sent to the buyer when you generated the postage label.

Anyway, it will just be slow to update between RM and Vinted, I am sure it will show up soon. You have the receipt and there is a tracking number, so you can prove you sent it.

Royal mail sometimes takes a few hours, however If it doesnt update within 48 hours I would contact vinted support. This happened to me last week, the tracking never updated as though I hadn't sent the parcel.

I contacted vinted support and they suspended the transaction until the buyer confirmed it was received. I then messaged vinted with a screenshot of the buyer confirming it has been delivered and Vinted manually updated it to complete the sale.

I don’t use Royal Mail very often so I’m a bit concerned something has screwed up. I also have zero faith in Vinted’s customer service having been burned previously.

Thus happened to me as a buyer receny, it only updated on the day it was delivered.

I had a Royal Mail parcel, via Vinted, go AWOL for 1.5 weeks. The tracking info just had it at the depot all the time. God knows what happened to it. Anyway, I then got an updated delivery message from RM, and it did eventually turn up.

On a side note, I’m finding Inpost, Yodel & RM (with Vinted) have all been shite recently.

Ime the Royal Mail tracking doesn't start updating until the parcel has passed the first stage in the process. Although obviously not all post offices may work in the same way

I wouldn't worry until tomorrow at the earliest

I agree with other posters ,you have your proof of posting. I would give them time to sort the situation. Personally I trust Royal Mail far more than some delivery companies.
