Party invites - few replies

ceeb21 · 29/10/2025 09:46

I know I may be completely jumping the gun here, but I sent a whole class WhatsApp party invite yesterday and have only had around 6 replies (out of 30).

Bearing in mind everyone has read it, do you assume everyone else can't make it, or do people respond later?! I know more things will get added to the WhatsApp so that invite will be long forgotten!!

When did you send it?

When did you send it?

Only yesterday, so appreciate I'm worrying way too early!

I just know pretty much everyone has read the message!

i think it’s better to send individually- but I would leave it a week then send a follow up to group with rsvp date and then you could send out the final guest list to the group on the rsvp day

A lot of people are on holiday / half term etc. Send a reminder later.

Did you give a deadline for replies? If I’ve got people’s numbers, I always send individual WhatsApp messages as invites & set a deadline for the reply. Most effective way I’ve found (have a DS aged 19 & DD aged 9, so have been hosting kids’ parties for many years).

Yeah you're definitely jumping the gun. It's half term. Also people may have read it but not been able ti check they're calendar, ask their child if they want to go. When is the party ? As others have said, send a follow up in a week.

When’s the party?
