A reminder when buying online!

Do check Trustpilot if it’s a company you’re not familiar with.

I bought a pair of shoes on a whim and didn’t check since the website offered ‘free refunds and exchanges’. Turned out it was a dropshipping company, and if you ask for a refund they offer a 20% refund and to keep the product. Of the many similar stories when I looked them up on Trustpilot, there was one person who’d got their money back through PayPal. Luckily I’d paid with PayPal and once I raised a dispute there, a postage label and full refund magically materialised.

So just a reminder, beware dodgy companies with convincing websites!

That's good advice OP.

I must say I generally try and read reviews for any company I'm thinking of buying from .

I realised it was dodgy when I first emailed and they told me I needed to send them a photo of the shoes so they could identify the problem. Like WTF? You sent them to me and I’d like to return them for a refund please!
