Fun/silly village events we can go to

We live finding quirky little village events to visit.

This year we went to Flitton potato race, where people run a mile through the village with a sack of potatoes in their shoulders! It's a sweet event and a nice day out, little village fête type thing at the end etc. lovely stuff.

Does anyone know any others.of the likes?

Can travel anywhere in UK!

Its in Buckinghamshire. My MIL won it one year and still proudly displays the certificate in her house. I believe its quite an old race.
