How does it work please. My printer isn’t working, can I use a QR code to send stuff Royal Mail and any tips on packaging?

You can use a qr code for Inbox, Evri and Royal Mail. You just show the code/scan/ at the drop off point.

Sheknowsaboutme · 25/10/2025 17:29

Only tip is do not use royal mail.

inpost or yodel store to store are the only 2 i use.

always use a QR code and buy plastic bags (or i reuse!)

How does that work? I am an ignoramus.

For packaging, I just reuse amazon or any other packing I've got from received orders. If you don't have any just wrap up in a black bin liner with lots of tape. I've received all sorts, and I prefer using used packaging as it's wasted otherwise.

Inpost is a locker system located in supermarkets and petrol stations. You get a QR code, scan it, locker opens and yiu pkace it in. Van comes along and delivers into the buyers designated inpost. Seriously easy and convenient

yodel store to door m, you take the parcel to a yodel pick up store, scan again and same orices, the parcel arrives at the designated shop

no twatty delivery driver leaving stuff in other peoples houses, down country lanes etc.

I bought a load of postage bags from Amazon years ago and I’ve not yet used them all! So they’re an option if you’ve got a lot to sell.

Inpost is really handy and Yodel is better now that it’s merged with Inpost. I prefer Royal Mail because it’s the only option that I trust to get to me quickly (and safely) in the Highlands, but I know a lot of users won’t use it 🥲 I do NOT trust Evri!

What’s wrong with using Royal Mail?
I sell a bit on Vinted and haven’t heard this before…

Hohofortherobbers · 25/10/2025 18:35

I've only just started to use royal mail lockers....have posted 3 items, 1 is already lost. 🙄
Will be changing settings back to inpost only, never had a problem with inpost

SilenceInside · 25/10/2025 18:38

@Whatdoidoaboutitall I would check what posting options you have easily accessible to you, so you could go to the websites for InPost, Yodel, Royal Mail, Evri etc and see where the nearest QR code drop offs are. Then, in your Vinted profile settings under Postage you can turn off any delivery option that isn’t convenient for you.

When I started on vinted i bought something and used Royal Mail. I had to go to the local sorting office collect. Miles out of town. So did my colleagues.

hence why i don’t use it.

grafittiartist · 25/10/2025 19:52

I don’t understand the royal
mail lockers- if it’s them- I go to a shop.
But Inpost is brilliant! So convenient.
