DP has shown significant enthusiasm for the watch in the photo, which a reverse image search shows me is an omega Geneve from the 70s. Id like to get it for him as a special present if I can find one. It looks as if the price range is about £650-£850, which is far too much money to be cheated out of. I know very little about watches and the only person I know that I could ask would be DP. Does anyone know how you work out whether a watch seller is reputable? It seems quite niche so not sure whether going to a shop would be better, or if I have to go online and try not to get shafted. I don’t spend this kind of money often and I’m nervous about it.
I’d really be grateful for any advice from someone with knowledge/experience. Mumsnet has never let me down yet!
