Help...I need sleep!

Hi

Looking for duvet / bedding advice. My dd has never been the best sleeper although we've had a great run of about four weeks I have been back to nightly wakings for the last three nights.

The only thing I have done differently is take her duvet off and replace with a coverless duvet. So i'm suspecting that the coverless duvet isn't heavy enough for her.

I know the easy fix is to go back to the duvet BUT I am completely anxious and the duvet currently has a fleece duvet cover on which is too over sized for it. DD rolls around in bed, balls the duvet up and has now taken to covering her head in bed. Due to my anxiety I am not sleeping well knowing this.

I need a sleep solution. A recommendation for a great 10.5 tog quilt with a bit of weight in it but not too heavy for a 6 year old. Some warm bedding, probably not fleece as we have had various fleece ones with similar issues - unless these issues are because i'm buying bedding at the cheaper end then i'm open to fleece recommendations too.

Any other suggestions welcome.

DD on waiting list for ADHD and Autism assessments incase that's relevant at all. Also new build house where temperature rarely dips below 18 degrees through the night. Don't think that temperature is the issue but could be wrong.

Disclosure I am in my 40's I am working 4 days a week and I am on my arse 😂

Honestly, you need to address your anxiety.

Agreed haha! However I've tried it's a result of PTSD and I've tried lots of different avenues. Not an easy fix. Lack of sleep not helping either.

Have you tried a compression sheet?

Weighted blanket may also help and you can buy the correct weight for them, they also move around less as they are heavy

Thank you, we do have a weighted blanket. Never thought to use it for sleep! One to try.
