I haven't watched the film but I keep seeing people online talking about it and I recognised the story. I had to search for it with the victim's name to make sure because it was on my old account that I've closed. I just find it interesting that I posted about it back then, though there was no interest. Maybe I should have posted on chat or aibu.
Sad case.

Bizarre that you have not watched the doc given your…. Interest! 😆

This is odd
coming back 2 years later to draw attention to your thread from back then

StrikingStriker2 · 23/10/2025 18:31

So sorry to both of you. I didn't realise it was a problem to post on one's old thread especially when the topic has just come up again. I simply thought it was interesting to see how interest shifts, even though it was just as important then as it is now. I'd hoped for a discussion on the actual case.

Can we talk about it now rather than my apparently 'very strange behaviour', or is there already a thread on it?

Well done.

Watch it and I’ll discuss.

StrikingStriker2 · 23/10/2025 19:41

I'm not keen to revisit something so heartbreaking visually but I'm happy to discuss it. I don't need to watch it on netflix - I followed the case when it happened. That's the whole point.

Hopefully someone who's genuinely interested in the case will come along. If not, no worries. I'll join the other posts online talking about it.

I think it’s the tone of your post, OP. It has a bit of a ‘I told you so’ energy about it.

StrikingStriker2 · 23/10/2025 20:30

Ok I can see that. That wasn't my intention. It’s always been about the case - both then and now - not about myself.

There's at least one other thread that I've seen, have you looked in the TV topic?

StrikingStriker2 · 23/10/2025 20:46

No but I'll take look now, thank you. I did a search for the title but didn't see anything. It kept showing me posts where people are talking about the perfect neighbour in real life but not the actual film.

its a documentary not a film, unless there's a film out too?

TSMWEL · 24/10/2025 10:45

It’s not a film it’s a documentary made up entirely of police bodycam footage. It might help in your discussion of the case, OP.
