I seem to remember that there used to be yearly SAD support threads but can’t see one for this year. Just a cosy place for anyone who’s struggling to have a chat 🩵

Thanks for posting this. I have started to feel a bit low and I had not really thought that it could be due to the seasons. I think I usually like autumn so maybe it's not that. I have depression so could be it's a combination/worsened during the colder months . It will be nice to have a forum with others also struggling ❤️

I really suffer around this time of year. I find the darkness so oppressive

Do you struggle any other time of year ? I must be honest I think mines just depression and not seasonal but I am hoping I can stay in the forum anyway ❤️. If there is anything you want to talk about or get off your chest go ahead... It's easier talking to stranger and I'm likely here for the next hour at least 🤣

I dislike autumn and hate winter, but I think this year, it’s just anxiety and depression, which occurs in a five or so year cycle.

I used to, but it was always worse in the winter. But the last couple of years it’s been in the winter only!

How’s everyone doing now the clocks have gone back?

I’ve found this week really hard. Watching it get dark from the office and then trying to work up the nerve to go to the gym has been harder than expected. But tonight I’ve sorted out my bedroom which became a tip, changed my bedding and given myself a proper looking after (aka I washed my hair and changed my pyjamas) this weekend will be a focus on nutrition and exercise

Not sure anyone is still around here but oh well. I’m finding this week a lot easier than last. I’ve settled into the clocks going back and I’m planning for next year, which is keeping my mind off the darkness. I’m planning two trips which I can’t wait for!

I've just happened on the thread. And I live in Northern Scotland (dark in winter) but I'm not from here. Nutrition is so important because serotonin is made in your digestive system.

I've also been cleaning @CinnamonCrunch33.im not in work on Friday and I've some sorting organised for today. And clean bed linen.

I've also started yoga which is helping.

Ooh thank you - but thanks as well Cinnamon. I'll pop over.

@CinnamonCrunch33 I'm here. Just found your post. My depression is definitely worse with the weather. I'm giving myself one small task a day to complete.
