Kindle advice please

My kindle fire is on its last legs - very glitchy and the battery is draining very fast.

I am going to replace it, but I literally only use it for reading books, I don't need the options for email, web browsing etc.

What do I need to get? I don't want to spend money on all sorts of "extras" that I will never use.

How about a Kobo and gain access to free library books?

Thanks - I've just had a quick look, but the Kobo devices seem much more expensive than a basic Kindle - everything I saw was way over £100. Am I missing something?

I just have a basic Kindle Paperwhite with a back light. They have gotten a lot more expensive generally I think. If you can hold out you might get a good deal on Black Friday.
