Thank you all, I was expecting someone to day “isn’t that a summer evening colour” luckily not :-)

I would go for darker tights but otherwise this colour has clear party vibe and will go nicely with silver accessories.

I don't think it's the colour that's the issue but the style of dress. It looks too 'structured' to be a party dress. Like something you'd wear to the office (if it wasn't pink). Parties call for something more floaty or sparkly.
