Anyone else finding the comments Dianne receives about dancing when pregnant, somewhat irritating (she does, naturally):

i don’t usually bother with Showbizzy type stuff, but this shit really grinds my gears. Where the fuck do these busybodies get off?! What is it with some people that they think everyone wants to hear their opinion on shit like this?

It’s the audacity of it, for me. If you don’t want to dance while pregnant, then don’t. But why is it when you are pregnant/have children the whole world suddenly feels entitled to an opinion.

At the same time, I’m kind of fascinated by the mentality. I mean do these people think that Dianne will read their comments and be like “oh, shit, i simply didn’t think of this, i guess i had better stop dancing…”

Same with breastfeeding/formula feeding/age of toilet training/cloth v disposable nappies etc etc etc.

Hardly happens in any other area of life. Except dog ownership, I guess. And maybe recycling.

But yeah. Just stay in your lane and mind your own business.

She’s in the public eye and courts attention when it suits, so it’s not unexpected. Surely she’s learned by now to ignore it, or not even look at it in the first place.

Fair. I suppose it’s not really about Dianne is it though. It’s about the people who feel they are required to comment on another person’s body/habits whatever.

I saw her posting what people have said about her, I think that's the nature of the beast of social media people think they are entitled to type down their inner thoughts and expect them to be accepted.

Not that i think that's right, but i do think some humans don't care about the person they are talking about /to

I just think it’s a batshit mentality. I mean posting your issue on a forum is one thing - you are literally inviting people to give their views - but Dianne is just doing her job and these people just…impose their views. It’s bonkers!

It is absolutely bonkers, I joked on the strictly thread about her baby getting dizzy but in reality she is a professional dancer who took an informed decision and more than likely medical advice to continue to work, that particular comment she highlighted basically said she was putting her baby at risk oh and she was old !

I've been watching her on Strictly, and have been very impressed. It's not just energetic, but the lifts - oh and the cartwheels! Impressive. She's a professional dancer, she'll surely be taking medical advice and will know her limits.
She uses social media and that's a double edged sword, though, for a woman in the public eye

Honestly social media is in my view one of the worst things that has happened to us. Just gives every idiot a platform and a dose of self-importance.

I use SM for entertainment i follow people i like on instagram i don't understand why people follow and comment on people they don't like it is just bizarre to me,

Although the person who said that particular comment about Dianne probably thought they were a "concerned fan"
