Hosting

I’m fascinated that so many Mumsnetters ‘host’. In my circle of family and friends, we just invite each other. We never use the word ‘host’, it sounds so formal.

Do you host?

What do you mean what? It's obvious isn't it?

I might use either, no hard and fast rule, same for friends, I hear both

I only ever see it on Mumsnet.
