You have £100 to spend on yourself what would you buy?

Just that really, I have £100 long service award from work. I’m not sure what to buy, should I get something to ‘mark the occasion’ like a piece of jewellery or just something I want? I have been thinking of putting it towards a Lumia sunrise light alarm but a few people have said I should get ‘something ‘ to mark it?
What would you get with £100?

I’d buy this expensive bedding I really like

I had a £150 long service award in the summer, and it has to be a "thing". There wasn't anything I wanted, but then I changed my car and got a 2nd hand phev - so I had a plug in charger as the car didn't come with one.

I would put it towards the lamp you want
If the lamp starts your day off well do you go to work feeling more “ on it” what better way to mark “work”

I put a work award towards a big wool coat. It wasn't a "thing" but has lasted for ages (timeless wrap style) and every time I snuggle into it, I have great memories of that job. So I'd say go with what will male you happy, not something you think you ought to want.

Books massages, manicures and more books!

I’d buy myself a really nice, soft, thick, 100% wool jumper.

LucyLoo1972 · 20/11/2025 17:55

what does it mean 'a thing'?

dynamiccactus · 20/11/2025 17:56

I think a nice set of bed linen is a good idea too. You spend a lot of your life in bed!

Something nice for the house. Art work or a mirror?

A Japanese head spa.
