Magic? Not the magician tricks, but real magic? I'd love to believe there's a real Hogwarts somewhere.... fair folk around, other kindly mystical beings...

Nope

No

Haha, no, but I love seeing 'magic' and trying to figure out how it works. I'm a huge Derren Brown fan.

windchimeheaven · 19/10/2025 06:20

No

Normally, no, it just makes for a good story.

But there is something about this time of year..

Not the hideous imported Halloween crap. But on early morning dog walks, mist rising, woodsmoke in the air…yes, I might allow myself to think I may just have seen something otherworldly disappearing behind a tree!

Sparkleandshiney · 19/10/2025 11:40

I thought everyone would just say 'no". I honestly think there must be something else out there!

Well there is. Scientists say that there are a lot more dimensions than the one we experience, so who knows what's going on there...

hey who truly knows 🤷‍♀️ went to Glastonbury recently and the amount of druid / witchy type of people were walking around and buying their herbs for spells took me back slightly. I think its wonderful if thats what someone believes in ☺️

Yes, that's more to do with Glastonbury exploiting people who believe in such crap.

BlackeyedSusan · 19/10/2025 15:44

No. Bloody wish I could do magic though. Would love to apparate.

Sparkleandshiney · 19/10/2025 16:56

So. Has anyone ever seen anything they think could be magic /other worldly? I don't mean spooky...

I think there's a lot we don't understand about the world, but none of it is magic. There will be an explanation, we just don't know what it is.

It always amazes me how many things that grow around us can help with everyday problems ( garlic can lower blood pressure, a dock leaf can stop stinging from nettles for example) that seems more magical to me than anyone who is good at slight of hand ! Although saying this, some magicians do amaze me and it is clever how they do it.

Laiste · 19/10/2025 22:15

Where does magic stop and creepy start though ?

Surely if you see something unexplainable you can call it magic -but its how you personally feel about it that makes it 'spooky' or creepy ... or not.
