Does anyone here own a mini convertible?

And if so, how noisy is it?

I'm thinking of buying one, probably around 4 or 5 years old. I'm test driving one tomorrow but I'm worried that I won't be able to drive it at speed on a dual carriageway or motorway, only around town, so I won't be able to gauge how noisy it really is.

I have a long commute to my office along a busy dual carriageway where I will be doing 70mph for most of it. I tend to listen to podcasts and audio books rather than loud music.

If you've got a mini convertible, can you easily listen to spoken word (podcasts, audio books etc)on motorways/dual carriageway or does the roof let in a lot of noise?

I have no idea about my tyre size but mine isn’t noisy, I can listen to what I want!
it’s also very handy for collecting large items for my allotment as I just pop the roof, squeeze thr item in and then pop the roof back once I’ve finished! Don’t tell DH, I do that though!

It’s a while since I had one and I found the back quite cramped when the roof was up. It came with run flats which were dreadful and were changed pretty smartly. Fun car though.

Thanks @Bluevelvetsofa. I'm not bothered about the space in the back, it's only me and DH and we have another, bigger car.
