Ribby Hall v Centre parks

Anyone been and any recommendations?

We go to both regularly. They are different holidays but both great for kids.

Accomodation at Ribby Hall is nicer, bigger and better looked after in terms of maintenance and cleaner IMO. Many have been recently done up. They are better equipped with full size fridge and freezer, better cooking facilities and more of a starter pack. The onsite restaurant is nice, there is entertainment for the kids, the play parks are better. There is a papa John's, pancake shop, ice cream parlour, nice coffee shop and a spar shop.There are plenty of activities, space to play outside the accommodation, you can park outside your accommodation. The swimming pool is not as good as centre parcs although it does have a steam and sauna room and adult only lane pool in the main pool and it can be very busy with traffic on site. I would say you will probably want to drive off site a few times - we often have a day at St Anne's, a day at Blackpool and sometimes a day at Lytham.

Centre parcs is great for the swimming, choice of restaurants, been able to walk and cycle without lots of traffic, plenty to do without leaving site. IMO the accommodation at Centre parcs vs price paid is starting to let the site down. Sherwood in particular needs an extensive maintenance program on some of the lodges in certain areas, the play parks could do with some improvements and the swimming pool could do with another element to it as it gets very busy (been the only free offer) during bad weather.
