DH has a share in a business and is a Director with 4 others. The business has now been going 8 years. They started from nothing and he worked around his actual job for the first 5 years. They now have 40 employees. He gets a decent salary and a car. The plan was always to sell the business when it was felt the time was right and it was valued at 10 million. However, that never seems to happen and there is always another thing for investment on the horizon and more development (good things long-term hopefully).
I'm certainly not complaining - we do well from it but his actual salary is the same as when he was employed and he spends a lot of his time working as he obviously has a huge interest in this to succeed.
I just wondered if anyone had any stories of their own business experiences and how it all planned out. I just want to see a bit of light at the end of the tunnel to see if these things can work out and I might actually be able to afford a new kitchen one day!
