Wide top

I bought a gorgeous scooped neck top but the heck is wide and if not careful shows my bra straps. Strapless bras I've been told are uncomfortable as they are wired and passed. Any ideas? I can't go without a bra as the top is a bit see through and shows nipples

Can you wear a silk or satin blouse underneath the sweater?
It sounds dressy if you can see through it, and that would cover your bra straps.
Strapless from my experience is uncomfortable , maybe they make them more comfortable these days?
Maybe a pretty silk scarf draped casually to cover your bra straps and tucked into your bra somehow? It's hard to picture it.
YouTube has so many suggestions on how to tie and or wear scarves.

What about something like this? No wires, so nothing to dig in. I haven’t tried this particular one but there are loads on the market ( Google wireless bandeau bra). Mine are a sort of boob tube thing and taking it off is not the first thing on my mind when I get home, as opposed to wired bras, they’re that comfortable. Not amazing for support; I wear mine with very particular tops, and I took the padding out as it scrumpled in the wash, but it keeps everything where it should be (rather than bouncing about all over the shop) and there are no straps on show.

This link shows the top. Its gorgeous and I like how the model is wearing it with no necklace or anything and it doesn't look see through on her but not sure if she is wearing any kind of bra I think it's nice to show the flesh and color bone and creates a sexy look that would be ruined if not left bare

Oh that's very pretty OP, not quite as I imagined it.
It doesn't look sheer enough to be see- through on the model and I wonder if she is wearing a bra?
It almost doesn't look like it?
I agree that the neck is best left bare, it's really lovely; simple and sexy.
Would a bra strap converter work do you think? Or look into strapless bras, they must have more comfortable styles to choose from by now.

Don't know. When I tried this on with no bra, you could see my ripples but you had to look closely.. not sure what bra strap covers are. I will google. As for strapless bras, other posters have said they are uncomfortable.i wouldn't know as I've never worn a strapless bra. When I bought the top in marks and soencers, the only strapless bras they sold were added abd I hate padded bras and if the model is wearing one I dont think it's padded otherwise it would give a different look.

One trick i found online is to make your straps full length and pit on your bra wrapping the straps twice round your shoulders so it makes them stay in place at the en̈d of your shoulders and not show when the top is on.

Yeah, not good to be able to see through a top that much. I had a strapless once, padded also, and it was so uncomfortable. That sounds like a good tip; lengthening the strap and wrapping it around to keep it anchored in place.
I do think the model is not wearing a bra, but for some reason, isn't showing through? I hope that tip you mentioned works for you, it's such a pretty top!

I've decided to go bra less. I think the angle of the photo makes the top not see through. I think i can get away with it

You can pin or sew some little straps to attach the sides of the neckline to your bra straps. as here

Yep - these are what you need. Have you checked there isn't something on the shoulder seams of the top with press studs for this?
