How have you been after it?

I had mine tea time yesterday. I found it very difficult to get to sleep last night and then woke up in the early morning with diarrhoea and have been aching and feel off since.

I get it every year and don’t normally feel like this.

I've been absolutely fine after mine. I usually get a sore arm but didn't this year!
There's so many colds / coughs and viruses going around at the moment that any illness could just be completely incidental. Covid is pretty rife again too. Once my kids went back to school we all got a cold within a couple of weeks and most of my work colleagues too!

Bowling4soup · 17/10/2025 20:09

Had mine this morning, no effects at all my arm
doesnt even hurt. Maybe it’s just a coincidence

Vitriolinsanity · 17/10/2025 20:14

I am told by my pharmacist to take paracetamol before and two days after. So far, excellent advice.

Had mine this afternoon and so far, so good... I'd better be too as I have a big day/night out planned tomorrow and I don't want my cocktail drinking to be hampered by feeling rubbish!

I had flu and covid at the same last year (one in each arm) and felt shocking so vowed not to do that again this year 😬

Happyher · 17/10/2025 20:16

I didn’t have any side effects at all

SauvignonBlanche · 17/10/2025 20:21

I’ve been vaccinating and telling everyone to take some paracetamol that night.
I had mine on the same day last week and no side effects whatsoever this year, not even a sore arm.

I’ve toned down my post jab pep talks! 😆

OddBoots · 17/10/2025 20:24

I has mine yesterday lunchtime and so far no issues.

Yes the man doing mine said paracetamol tonight and lots of fluids.

my personal tip for the sore arm is get in the shower and turn it as warm as you can stand. Then get the hot water on your arm and while it’s under there, move it around as much as you can. I do this for 5+ minutes the morning after a vaccine and it works wonders

Growlybear83 · 17/10/2025 20:37

I had a slightly sore arm for a couple of days after but no significant side effects. My arm was still slightly sore from having my Covid jab the week before, but I didn’t get any side effects from that either.

Covidwoes · 17/10/2025 20:41

Zero side effects! Barely even had a sore arm.

muddyford · 17/10/2025 20:41

I had mine Monday morning and had forgotten about it. It's been fine.

Blappengrap · 17/10/2025 20:42

Painful arm, much more so than previously, but nothing else.

Imfat · 17/10/2025 20:42

I had mine 3 weeks ago no side effects then.
But on Wednesday I woke up to having a very heavy cold. Headache, bone aches, sneezing and a cough.
Wonder what I'd have been like if I hadn't had the vaccine.

TheCorrsDidDreamsBetter · 17/10/2025 20:47

Been absolutely fine, but tbh, I had flu a few weeks before the jab, so maybe that had something to do with it.

I know they say it isn't an active virus so it can't give you flu but usually it absolutely runs me down like the flu does. Still, it keeps me out of hospital!

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 17/10/2025 20:48

I had mine ten days ago and no ill effects at all. Not even a sore arm. Husband the same.

VintedVintage · 17/10/2025 20:49

Two weeks ago, no symptoms at all.

jan2310 · 17/10/2025 20:51

Two weeks ago, no issues, not even a sore arm.

Treylime · 17/10/2025 20:53

I was fine apart from slightly sore arm

Imlyingandthatsthetruth · 17/10/2025 20:57

Had flu and COVID jabs last year and, for the first time felt very rough. Only got the flu jab this year and no ill effects, except raging toothache. Probably not related, unless you are a conspiracy theorist

OakleyStreetisnotinChelsea · 17/10/2025 20:58

I was absolutely fine this year. Normally get a dead or aching arm. Last couple of years my arm was agony if it was even lightly brushed against for a couple of days. This year it was stingy as hell going in but absolutely fine after.

Boutonnière · 17/10/2025 20:58

Kuretake · 17/10/2025 13:07

No ill effects for me - I've never reacted to it luckily.

Same here

TeenLifeMum · 17/10/2025 21:00

Zero effect this year. Year before last I felt rough.

TeenLifeMum · 17/10/2025 21:01

That’s a good point, my arm didn’t even ache.

MrsCarson · 17/10/2025 21:03

I had mine, no side effects at all, I'm fine.

ShiftySquirrel · 17/10/2025 21:05

I was completely fine after I had it three weeks ago. Sometimes I get a sore arm but nothing at all this time.
