How have you been after it?

I had mine tea time yesterday. I found it very difficult to get to sleep last night and then woke up in the early morning with diarrhoea and have been aching and feel off since.

I get it every year and don’t normally feel like this.

Aching joints and chills/shivery sensation in legs the next day (general feeling that I was coming down with something), had to crawl under the duvet in the afternoon, then bit under the weather/tired for a couple of days. Can't compare as it's my first one

Hoppinggreen · 17/10/2025 13:49

Yes last Tuesday
No ill effects at all other than being £50 poorer (me and DH)

Papyrophile · 17/10/2025 13:51

Last Saturday. No after effects, except a slightly hot arm on Sunday.

Achey arm for a day. A bit sneezy for a few days (which may or may not have been connected, but DH was the same and he had his jab at the same time as me).

Mydogisagentleman · 17/10/2025 14:02

Had it on Tuesday morning.
Was so knackered in the afternoon, I went to bed for a couple of hours

Bobbyelvis4ever · 17/10/2025 14:11

Nothing bad at all. Slightly sore arm around where it went in for a couple of days, but otherwise fine.

Notagain75 · 17/10/2025 14:13

I've had mine an apart from tiredness slight temperature the next day I was fine

ConflictofInterest · 17/10/2025 14:14

No reaction at all. I usually get a sore arm but nothing this year.

mindutopia · 17/10/2025 16:03

Mostly fine, I have cancer so it’s hard to determine really what is flu jab and what is cancer. I felt extra tired that week after, but sometimes I feel extra tired.

Now I’ve had my COVID jab yesterday too (flu was 2-3 weeks ago) and I don’t feel at my best today, but that’s certainly been the case in previous years. And on top of that, cancer. So to be expected.

JurassicPark4Eva · 17/10/2025 16:09

Absolutely fine for the first time in my life. Usually leaves me a fever, whole body aches and stuck in bed for 34-36hrs.

Not a single side effect this year - not even a sore arm. Same for my mum.

Grapesandapple · 17/10/2025 16:12

No side effects, I never have any.

IsadoraQuagmire · 17/10/2025 16:20

Sore arm for about a week, but that's usual for me. I did get a cold/virus 4 days later but that was a coincidence.

MrsBucketHat · 17/10/2025 16:22

Slightly sore arm for a couple of days after, but all good other than that.

NoOneToTextWhenThePlaneLands · 17/10/2025 16:23

Fine so far, had it this morning.

my dad had a dodgy tummy after his for a couple days, but he gets a dodgy tummy if he looks at a piece of food funny so I don’t take much of that to heart.

pinkbackground · 17/10/2025 16:42

No reaction to it.

MigGirl · 17/10/2025 16:44

I don't normally have any reaction to it, apart from a sore arm, but this year I felt like I was coming down with something for 48 hours afterwards and had a slight temperature. First time I've had any reaction like that.

DramaAlpaca · 17/10/2025 16:45

A week ago I had a covid jab in one arm and a flu jab in the other. I had a very slightly sore arm on the covid side, but no other side effects whatsoever. Sometimes I have a slight reaction to the flu jab, but not this year.

afaloren · 17/10/2025 16:45

Best I’ve ever been, didn’t even have a sore arm this time.

FuzzyWolf · 17/10/2025 16:46

Slightly sore arm but nothing else although I have covid and flu at the same time and in the same arm, so not sure which one or if it was both that caused the sore arm.

Hope you feel better soon.

EverardDeTroyes · 17/10/2025 16:49

I had it a few weeks ago. Was a bit worried about it as last year I was quite ill afterwards but this year I had no side effects at all other than a very slightly sore arm on the day, and then when turning over onto that arm for the next 2 nights. I've had it many times before with just the same slightly sore arm so I actually think last year was something else that just happened to follow having the jab. That is what I would imagine was happening to you too.

TonTonMacoute · 17/10/2025 16:59

Difficult to tell as I had had some sort of post-flight flu about 10 days before. I had started to get better, then had a bit of a relapse after the jab.

Only symptom was a slight sore throat and extreme tiredness

Whentherainwashesyouclean · 17/10/2025 17:07

I’ve not had another episode of diarrhoea since 6am. I just feel very achy now.

OP posts:
Misspost · 17/10/2025 17:09

No reaction at all from the flu jab this year. Not even a sore arm.

I had the covid jab a few weeks ago and felt a bit below par for a couple of days. It wouldn’t put me off having it again next year though.

ozarina · 17/10/2025 17:12

I was fine .

OldBeyondMyYears · 17/10/2025 17:14

Had mine yesterday afternoon. Usual ‘painful arm’ by bedtime and I didn’t sleep well because of this…just couldn’t find a position that was comfortable.

Otherwise feel ok though (apart from my arm still feeling painful!)

Better than last year, when I was really thrown by it 🤷‍♀️
