Boring question about car tyres…

I had to have a couple of tyres replaced and on the receipt it says, suggested retightening of nuts after 50 miles. How do I do this? Do I go back to the garage where the tyres were replaced and just ask them to do it? Maybe should also add have had an MOT in between tyre replacement and now. (I don’t drive a lot, but am planning a longish drive of about 100 miles in a few days) I can’t believe I don’t know how to adult this one!

You just go back to the garage and they’ll do it for you.

Go back to the garage and ask them to do it. It won’t take long.

Go back to the garage to get them
tightened? Honestly people are so helpless these days! A few seconds with a wheel wrench and you can do
it yourself.

I’ve heard it’s best to get it done by the garage because if anything goes wrong you’ll have an invoice to prove they were tightened 🤷🏻‍♀️

The garage absolve themselves of any responsibility if there’s a problem and you’ve ignored their advice, hidden in the small print of your invoice, to return after 30 miles for a wheel nut check. There was a recent thread with photos from a poster whose car wheel had come off after having new tyres fitted. She hadn’t noticed the advice on the invoice.

Thank you all very much, I will pop back to the garage especially after that thread!
