Holiday entitlement and changing hours

Is anyone around to help me get my head around this please?

Holiday runs is Sept 2025 to Sept 2026. Currently have 230 hour in holiday for the year. I work 40 hours a week over 5 days.

In January 2026 I will be reducing a day so my holiday will be 190hrs until Sept 2026. I have 47hrs booked off until Jan 2026.

Am I right in thinking 230hrs should be split over 12 months = 19.16hrs a month. 19.16hrs x 4 (sept oct nov dec) 76.64 hrs left until new holiday pay kicks in in Jan 2026.

Thanks!

How many hours a month is probably the way you want to work it out

230/ 12 = 19.16 x sep / Oct/ Nov/ Dec (4) 76.6

190/ 12 = 15.83 x jan to aug (8) 126.6

Which is 203.2 hours

That's how I would work it out- same as if you were leaving your job in January you would have entitlement of 4months worth of a/l. I dont know if your workplace includes bank holidays as a/leave as that would change it slightly.

Yes they include BH which is annoying as thats my longest day, 10hrs. Trying to juggle childcare, working all year round and being a single parent
