Coffee machine advice please

I am looking for a new machine but need advice. I am the only coffee drinker in the house. I love the taste of coffee when the beans are fresh but in all honesty I need convenience too, I am in work all day so it’s just used for one coffee.

I like latte / flat white drinks

I have a sage nespresso currently, which has given up the ghost as the pump has failed and it does not froth the milk at all.

can anyone recommend a good machine? Thanks

We moved to bean to cup a few years ago from a series of Nespresso machines. We did try a fancy Sage machine that was more involved but we sent two back because of a water temperature problem and after two fails we gave up. We now have a Gaggia Anima in the UK, the kind with a standard barista style steam wand….having mastered steaming the milk properly it makes amazing flat whites. In France we have a Delonghi Magnifica S, which has a Panarello steam wand…it’s designed to foam the milk in a more Cappucino like way without any real input from the user. We went with it because it was on offer and small electricals tend to be very expensive here. It makes great coffee and although the foam isn’t as good as from the Gaggia when you get it right it was a really good value machine. Both are true “bean to cup machines” so you load beans in the top and don’t need to do anything else. Convenient and pretty decent coffee.

I’ve recently bought the DeLonghi Magnifica S and love it. Classed as an entry level bean to cup machine.
Best coffee machine I’ve had, simple to use.
I paid £300 but a few days ago it was £250 on Amazon.

I bought the breville barista max express, amazing machine and a third of the price of the sage bean to cup- it’s about £500 but have seen a few offers lately for £300 would really recommend as I only drink one latte a day and it’s perfect

I’ve become a real fuss about my morning coffee and for me, it’s all about the beans.
