Vulnerable adult

So I requested my medical records for ADHD medication.
I quickly looked through at my results and was shocked to see Vulnerable adult on there.
True I've had some anxiety, depression and huge weight loss so I'm not sure if the reference is to that or my occasionally volatile DH.
The reference was many years ago and when I looked it up it still is on my record.
Anyone that can explain this and would the GP tell me why this is on there.
I did have both parents I'll with cancer when it was added.
TIA.

vulnerable adult is a specific term in the Safeguarding Act and means:

Key aspects of an adult at risk under the Care Act 2014:

  • Over 18 years old: The legislation applies to adults, not children.
  • Has needs for care and support: This includes practical, financial, or emotional assistance.
  • Is experiencing or at risk of abuse or neglect: This is the potential harm.
  • Is unable to protect themselves: Their care and support needs prevent them from self-protection against the identified risk.

Would any of that description have applied at the time it was added to your notes?

It must be in regard to my DH who then had a massive cardiac event.
