Following because I'm really struggling to find a decent washing up liquid. Morrisons own brand seems to be okay

Costco washing up liquid- the massive 5l bottle lasts months and is better than Fairy at removing stains. Only £5.99

Kpopdeamonhunter · 10/10/2025 23:32

The aldi premium one in the silver coloured bottle. Not their regular stuff, I think it's called platinum. I think it comes in the green liquid and yellow. I've only ever used the green so can't comment on the yellow.

Switched a year or so ago and it's 1000 × better than fairy.

I recently bought a bottle of fairy as aldi had ran out and it's utter rubbish compared to the aldi one. Never again.

Agtee with @Kpopdeamonhunter- Aldi platinum is brilliant

Busybeemumm · 13/10/2025 07:41

Yep Aldi premium is the best by far and lasts so long.

DBSFstupid · 13/10/2025 07:47

FFS. Can't they leave anything alone.
I'm so sick of them fucking about with our food and other items, ie Cadbury's, McVities digestive biscuits etc.

Idontknowhatnametochoose · 13/10/2025 07:49

I agree Fairy is crap. It resembles the really cheap own brands now.

Londonnight · 13/10/2025 08:06

I have always used Fairy, but recently I have noticed a change in it. I often get a green scum left in the sink, and I have also noticed it on some pans too.
I hadn't realised that they had changed ingredients.

I'm off to Costco next week, so I'll buy some there.

Aldi magnum washing up liquid is fab! Better than fairy imo and that’s as before they changed it!

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 13/10/2025 08:10

Glad to see this! My Mum has always bought Fairy and I have to be very careful when I'm with her as up to now a tiny drop has produced lots and lots of lather, whereas the much cheaper stuff I use at home needs a much bigger squirt to do that. I bought a bottle of Fairy myself recently because it was on special offer and it's rubbish! Bubbles last hardly any time. What on earth have they done?

LalalalalaItGoesAroundTheWold · 13/10/2025 08:13

Oh my god. I thought I bought fake Fairy liquid in ASDA and actually emailed them to check their stocks for fakes😂

BruisedNeckMeat · 13/10/2025 08:16

I’m so fucking sick of these companies messing around with products that have been tried and tested for ages. I’m still recovering from my bloody Mitchum pits.

bloodredfeaturewall · 13/10/2025 08:17

ecover

Arcticsway · 13/10/2025 08:23

I switched from Fairy to Ecover about 20 years ago. Ecover still seems fine.

hmmnotreallysure · 13/10/2025 08:34

I've switched to M&S washing up liquid and it's so much nicer on my hands (as well as washing the dishes well and smells lovely)
