Morrison's on Amazon not available any more?

ToffeeFroyo · 10/10/2025 19:26

I've tried ordering several times over the last few days.
Every item I try to add to basket there is a pop-up message saying 'We're sorry, this item just became unavailable'.
Has anyone else had problems?

I haven’t completed an order but I can add things to my basket.

I am near Kingston SW London

I hadn't heard anything about that, but if they were in trouble I wouldn't be surprised

I got my last ever Morrison's from Amazon a couple of weeks ago - I tried it 4 times over a few months, and every single time there were items missing. Not substituted - charged for, but just weren't delivered.

Amazon's refund service is VG but it's a pita to have to go through the entire list with a fine toothcomb every time.

Working fine for me

ToffeeFroyo · 10/10/2025 19:56

Thanks for your replies. I did Google it and there didn't seem to be any known issues so presumably just a glitch with my account.

They are very close to going down the pan though.

Are they? What's going on?

They’ve cut thousands of jobs, and they’re in massive debt. Lots of stores scaling down with scrapping of cafes and deli counters etc.

I did one last weekend. I think it might be your local Morrisons.

YouveGotNoBloodyIdea · 10/10/2025 22:44

It depends on which store they use. I live in a reasonably large town. If I do regular click and collect it is from my own town’s Morrisons. If I use Amazon Morrisons it comes from a store in the next big city over. If I do a regular Morrisons online shop it comes from two more cities over beyond that…… the Amazon Morrisons has less product choice than either of the other options, but I find it very reliable and hardly ever get substitutions….. there is always a next day slot available, so it makes life much easier.

I hope they’ll come through. I love our local Morrisons.

My area has never been part of Morrisons on Amazon.

I do use Morrisons for online shopping and it doesn't come from a store, it comes from a warehouse.

Just recently random items have become unavailable, things such as their own spices, frozen items, etc.

As it comes from a warehouse you'd imagine that it would be more available as there are no shoppers taking it.

Thus isn't substitutes, or availability issues after ordering, it's literally items unavailable on the website.

Cheddar cheese was one that was unavailable for weeks. Very strange.

Leopardwallop · 11/10/2025 03:27

I ordered on sunday morning for delivery late afternoon. Received no messages to suggest it was being packed as usual and after the cut off delivery time received a message from Amazon to say order cancelled and I’d be refunded, no further explanation.

Leopardwallop · 11/10/2025 03:32

I find it really expensive, are the Amazon Morrison’s prices the same as in store? I always assume I’m paying a premium price for the convenience but suck it up in an emergency if I can’t get to the shops and need a same day delivery (options limited locally). If that’s not the case then I’m surprised anyone goes to Morrison’s.

Apparently so. Just checked… mse warns items are up to 45% more through Amazon !

Agree. The prices through Amazon are way higher than normal in store prices - in store it’s generally a little cheaper than eg Sainsburys/ Tesco etc. Or at least, it has less expensive stuff for sale. Not sure about exact like for like comparisons.

This was said about Asda but they are still here

mummymissessunshine · 12/10/2025 02:04

I had a Morrisons shop from Amazon today. But it felt expensive. Won’t do it again unless it is an emergency.

It might be due to problems at which ever store is being used to supply your order.

That's a good shout so I tried my friends address 100 miles away, all fine.
Tried my friend's address a few miles away also fine.
Tried my next door neighbours address (must remember to delete this!) also fine.
So for some reason it's just me. 🤔
