Cleaning a waterproof jacket

I have a TresTex jacket which I washed in Nikwax yesterday, but its not cleaned the dirtier areas such as round the cuffs etc. Anyone have any tips for how to sort this?
Also, am I right in thinking that shoving it in the tumble drier for a bit helps restore the waterproof-ness? I don't have a drier but have time to run out to the laundrette today if needs be. Thanks

I’d rerun it through with the nikwax tbh, sometimes you need to do it twice. Then I have a re waterproof nikwax so wash it again with that then leave to dry naturally.

Ugly link but this stuff there is a spray on version too but do it outside as it reeks for a bit whilst drying.

Wash in NikWax, then use NikWax reproofer, then leave to drip dry. I do mine every six months or so.
