Has anyone tried this?

Someone was telling me about it yesterday - and very keen to try it again Grin

I'd never heard of it before..

It does taste like biscuits but that doesn't make it nice. I bought some, tried one, took them to work to get rid of them.

TheNightingalesStarling · 10/10/2025 08:57

DH tried one and the packet ended up in the cleaning cupboard as moisture catchers.

sagebasil · 10/10/2025 08:58

Oh dear - does not sound promising 😅

I don’t understand why they do this with products. I buy Yorkshire tea bags and if I wanted them to taste of biscuits I would just eat a biscuit with a cup of tea.

TheNuthatch · 10/10/2025 09:17

I like this biscuit tea. We buy it regularly.
It keeps my fingers out of the biscuit tin when I need an afternoon pick me up.

Nearlyadoctor · 10/10/2025 09:42

I really like it, it’s my morning wake up cup of tea every day.
I tried the caramelised one and didn’t like it, and I think there’s a jam one as well which wouldn’t be my thing.

MimiGC · 10/10/2025 09:48

I tried it and thought it was horrible. Like someone had poured a weak hot water/ hot milk combo over some biscuits and sieved it.

VenusClapTrap · 10/10/2025 09:51

I haven’t tried this, I didn’t know about it! I will give it a go though because I like the Bird & Blend Chocolate Digestive tea on occasion.

PurpleChrayn · 10/10/2025 09:51

The caramelised biscuit brew ones are even better!

Im not a fan of the cherry Bakewell though. I preferred the jam and toast flavour.

TheFatCatSatOnTheMat · 10/10/2025 09:53

I love it. I know tea purists scoff at it but it’s tasty and I find it a real comfort brew.

AliasGrape · 10/10/2025 09:55

I bought a box of that and the bedtime one. After one of each I wasn't struck on either, but I've persevered with the bedtime one and I love that now. Am sure I'll go back to the biscuit one at some point.

Toddlerteaplease · 10/10/2025 09:55

It smells amazing but tastes nothing like biscuits. It’s quite weak.

sagebasil · 10/10/2025 17:49

Hmmm I've caved and got a packet of the biscuit tea. (Tesco £2.00 with clubcard)

Just had a cup and I approve 😊 . It won't be a chore to drink as I like it

I love the biscuit tea and the jam and toast one. Not so keen on the caramel one though.

nopenotplaying · 10/10/2025 18:11

I love it!

KittyEmK · 10/10/2025 18:15

Nice, but M&S shortbread flavour tea is even better. Not sweet but very slightly malty. Feels very comforting imo.

sagebasil · 10/10/2025 18:39

@KittyEmK oh gosh - another thing to try - I might have to get through some of this before I'm at it again Grin

I love it

Karistyleaftea · 10/10/2025 18:43

I like it but not the caramel biscuit one so much.
The M & S shortbread one sounds good.

I’m now wondering if I work with you as I’m making my way through an abandoned box of these in our work kitchen. Don’t have them every day but get an odd fancy for one now and then.

Nearlyadoctor · 10/10/2025 19:24

You definitely need to give it plenty of time to brew properly which people often don’t seem to.

WonderingWanda · 10/10/2025 19:26

I quite like it, no substitute for an actual biscuit though!

Or a good strong cup of Yorkshire Tea.

It was a good couple of years ago and I haven't noticed them in the cupboard for a long time! If I see someone using them on Monday I'll wink Wink

KnickerlessParsons · 10/10/2025 23:31

I like M&S shortbread tea. I didn’t like it the first time I tried it but I decided to finish the packet, and it’s grown on me.
