Premier inn mattress ?

I have been sleeping on a mattress I hate for several years now and can't stand it any longer. Previous to that I had a wool , cashmere and silk mattress from Bensons Beds or Dreams that I loved, but we swapped to a super king bed and needed a new mattress.

I just don't want to make another mistake. Has anyone else bought a Premier Inn mattress and what did you think of it? I want a mattress that I can return free if I don't like it.

The bed we have has a divan unsprung base and I wonder if that's why the mattress feels so hard. Previously we had slatted sprung bed bases, but all the bed shops say it doesn't make any difference!

I bought a premier inn mattress and it's the best one I've ever had. It depends on the firmness you like I suppose. This one is medium firm I'd say and is just perfect for me.

Be careful. I’ve stayed in a few premier inn Premium rooms lately and the mattresses in those rooms are different from the standard. Much harder. I’m not as keen! Best be careful about which you’re buying.

We've got one-Premier Inn Hypnos and it's great-really comfortable!

I think they changed the type they use fairly recently so wonder how long ago they were purchased? They do allow a free trial which is important.

Love love love ours but it’s the old hypnos (I think that’s the name) not the newer ones.

I stayed in a premier inn last year and it was the most comfortable mattress i have ever slept on, even DH agreed. I did a lot of research and the mattress had an inbuilt mattress topper but when it came to buying a new mattress it was sadly out of my price range. But i would have bought one even at the cost but DH put his foot down.

We stayed at the same Premier Inn again this year and they have changed the mattresses and they are not as good as before.

I 🩷 mine. I’m on it now!

It’s the Silent Night one. It’s like sleeping on air.

Ds age 31 came to see me a month or so ago when l was ill. He lay down next to me and said ‘God, this mattress is SO comfortable’

Then he went to bloody sleep! Instead of comforting his decrepit mother.

I have got the old version, the Hypnos and it’s amazing.

Silentnight. Still on it😳

freckledsloth · 09/10/2025 16:39

We have a Hypnos one bought about seven years ago. Even now we both regularly comment on how comfy it is and how it is one of the best things we’ve ever bought. Highly recommend!

Letmeoutodhere · 09/10/2025 16:41

All very encouraging

I bought my kids a Simba mattress each as they have a 100day sleep trial. Luckily they liked the beds so kept them, but if it’s a try before you buy you want a Simba might be worth a shot.

I've just ordered the Travelodge one from Sleepeeze..I've had an Ottey for about 4yrs and it's just too firm...

Hey, jumping in here to ask how your premier inn mattress is holding up @Toughmonkeys ?

We've had ours a month or so and you can already tell we've been sleeping on it.

Now, I realise that sounds odd and I haven't had a new mattress in a long time but I would expect it to stay firm / flat / intact for a good while before we dent it!

Shinyandnew1 · 25/11/2025 10:45

We bought ours five years ago and it's still amazing. That was a Premier Inn Hypnos one-have they stopped using Hypos now?
