Quick car buying question

My son is buying a car from a dealership and is picking it up on Saturday as it is some way from home. The garage have asked for his money to be paid tomorrow before he sees the car as their admin team don’t work on a Saturday? The garage looks legit and is a Kia dealership. Is this normal and safe?

I wouldn’t no if their admin team don’t work Saturdays that’s on them.

Because you can 100% guarantee if he suggested picking up and paying Monday it would be a big no.

I think this is fairly standard for large dealerships.

I brought a 2nd hand Kia from a Kia dealership a couple of months ago and had the same situation.

I wouldn't be happy doing the same with a small garage where they could check directly.

I’d completely agree with this. While it’s safe, you don’t know for definite that he will buy it. Most larger companies bring the car to you. Can they do that? Likely have to pay before for that but with the Carshop I paid a small deposit and they moved it to be local. But don’t buy a car from them.
