24 hours in London

If you had 24 hours in London with a 9 year old what would you do!? We've tickets to the theatre at night, but otherwise looking for suggestions. We've been before and done
Buckingham palace and changing of the guard
Tower of London
London dungeon
London bridge
Borough food market
Harry potter walking tour
Horrible Histories boat tour

Looking for ideas for an afternoon and a morning the next day before leaving approx 3pm to head home again! Mu mind is blank, but know there must be loads! Not massive museum fans but if it was engaging I'd try it!

I'm going to London for a long weekend soon and the Sky Garden has been recommended as worth a visit.

Royal Observatory, maritime museum, Greenwich foot tunnel, cutty dark, all within walking distance to each other and smack bang in the middle of Londons most beautiful park (Greenwich)
Not far from these you have Crystal Palace park that has a farm/dinosaur trek, maze.
I havent been to either in a while but these were my childhood playgrounds and I loved going to both.
You could go to Battersea and see the Jurassic world exhibition.
Or the National history/British/Science museum.

I found the sky garden a bit disappointing. But it’s free and the views are amazing so it has that in its favour! Have a look at the family events at the Globe theatre; the natural history/science museums are really hands-on so great for kids. The London Eye, HMS Belfast, the Imperial War Museum, Cutty Sark …

The Science Museum and Natural History Museum are fab. It’s also worth paying admission to Tower Bridge and seeing the engine rooms and walking across the glass walkway. You can look up the lifting times online to see it let a tall vessel through.

Otherwise it really depends on his/her interests. In DS‘ pirate phase, we went on the Golden Hinde. In his Roman phase we did the Mithraeum and the amphitheatre under the Guildhall (both free).

What is your 9yr old into?

There are also some fab ice cream places. Hansel & Gretel goes down well with children.

There’s a prehistoric planet show around kings cross my 9 year old loved, massive screens with huge dinosaurs

Thanks! I'll check some of these out for sure!! We've done a few other things already mentioned that I had forgotten about (spent a week there last year!) but a few others we haven't been to! Trying to get the balance of making it a short fun trip but not exhausting ourselves!
