Please help me figure out who this guy is!

Large frame, possibly beard with no moustache, rosy cheeks and jolly. I can picture him in West Country farmer attire.

British. Possibly comic actor.

How recently on tv? I immediately thought of Bill Maynard but he died several years ago.
