I keep picking at this but it always grows back

It won’t go away. It just popped up like a month ago and a have the urge to keep trying to pick it constantly and it get it almost flat but it always grows back. It sometimes itches too which makes me pick at it more. I love flip flops and it bothers me when I walk in them so I pick at it a lot. My daughter has a few of these on her foot I noticed a few months ago. Guessing it’s a type of callus from the friction of flip flops/heels. Weird that it’s only on one foot. So I figured I’d ask to make sure.

Hopefully it’ll make some little babies for you soon 🤞

I’m not sure what I’m most shocked by, that you didn’t know it’s a verruca, that you’re not going to treat it, or that you were picking your feet in the car.

And it won’t bother me if it does. Not like anyone will see them on the BOTTOM of my foot

Well you're on your way to being a warty woman, you know they can grow on your face, eyes etc as well? Is that cool with you? Why am I even responding to this obvious bait?

I can pick my feet l if I want to. They’re my feet. And I can leave the verruca if I want to

Yeah - maybe leave it . . .

I don't know what this thread is but it's hilarious. Truly the best of Mumsnet.

Well I’m leaving it because it doesn’t bother me that much. I don’t care that it’s contagious. They don’t hurt anybody if they get them too

Hmmm, they actually do. I had one so bad I struggled to walk. You’ll have bits of it under your fingernails if you sit in the car picking at it and then go round spreading it. Even if it was just dead skin that’s beyond skanky. Hope your dd wears swim socks if she goes swimming

This. I am pretty relaxed about stuff in general but I'd bloody treat that.

Also, some people are quite vulnerable to viruses etc. I know DS1 who has 3 autoimmune diseases had some pain with his verruca that I turned myself inside out to treat.

Some posters never fail to amaze me with their ability to not give a shit about other people.

CameForAVacationStayedForTheRevolution · 06/10/2025 16:54

You’ll spread them to your face! Dirty

vickylou78 · 06/10/2025 16:55

Op they really really hurt as they get bigger!!! You will regret not treating it now

You can get them on your hands, on your face, anywhere on your body which has skin. Which is everywhere. Also on your feet they can grow very deep and give you pain when walking. Plus in the same way that you wouldn't sneeze into someone's face, you should do everything you can not to infect other people.

vickylou78 · 06/10/2025 16:59

Why are you being so defensive about it?? Honestly they are very common but they literally take years to go if not treated and can be really painful depending on where they are.

Your reaction seems to me like you may be a troll. As any normal person may be asking how to treat it etc.

ShodAndShadySenators · 06/10/2025 17:09

So it bothers you, quite a lot. It itches and it bothers you when you wear flip flops. But after posters have identified it for you as a viral infection that you will be spreading to other people (including your kids) you just don't care because it doesn't bother you..?

OK

ginasevern · 06/10/2025 17:55

It does bother you because you started a thread about it.

It will bother you even more when it starts to grow.

They can spread to your face and hands and look gross.

So why not get it treated. It's quick, cheap and easy.

End of story.

Verruca indeed.

Feet are so bloody grim. As in feet in general, not targeted at OP.

i’ve always hated feet but my DGM had ghastly hammer toes so maybe that’s why i think that way? tho i’ve somehow passed on my dislike to my own DD😊.

OrangeSunsetSkies · 06/10/2025 18:01

It looks like a filiform wart to me. Get some Bazuka gel.
