Looking for sympathy

Took DS (3) to the zoo today and we were having a lovely time. Just before we left I took him to see the gorillas again because they were asleep when we first arrived. Held him up to see and he threw up EVERYWHERE. All over me, his jumper, his trousers, his shoes and most of the floor.

Some lovely mums and the first aid man helped me out but I had to manage a child throwing up every half hour and tube/train journeys to get home whilst stinking of sick (tried washing my hair in the sink in the first aid room but it didn’t do much).

Now DS is asleep and I have to go and deal with the sicky clothes/shoes whilst hoping DS has stopped with the vomiting when all I want to do is sit and have a large glass of wine! Shamelessly looking for sympathy. And apologies if anyone on here witnessed it as it was quite a sight.

You have my sympathy, a similar thing happened to me a few years ago with a day out, a suddenly vomiting toddler and a train ride home. Grim isn't it. Winefor your shattered nerves.

You have my sympathy too, have one for me when you finally get to sit down xx

Oh no girl i'm sorry! What a nightmare!

It'll make a funny story one day, although that isnt much help now!

I took autistic dd to the zoo and she sobbed and wanted to go back to the car 😄 so we only saw a few animals!

Youre home now and ds is down - will you be able to stay indoors tomorrow to recover? 💕

Thank you all! Finally sat down with some Cheerios for dinner as I can’t really face anything else (had planned Nando’s but one good thing is that I didn’t end up paying a fortune for chicken & chips). Clothes in a hot wash with dettol, bleach is in the bath after I hosed it down and DS is still asleep.

Husband is staying home tomorrow morning then I get to come home at lunch time to take over/have some time to recover. Just hoping I’m not next!

Oh my word. That is my worst nightmare. DD threw up in a shop once and I just stood there and cried. Luckily the staff were very competent and lovely. I do not deal with sick.
