I’ve been using this for 4 months. I can definitely see a difference in my nails and my knees don’t hurt anymore. Face wise, I don’t know, I can’t tell.

ridingfreely · 05/10/2025 19:54

Been using ancient and brave for 5 weeks . Like you I was dazzled and confused by so many adverts and options. I have to say it is completely flavourless and a scoop in my twice daily cup of tea is working wonders. Stronger nails, healthier hair and honestly my forehead has less wrinkles if I try and raise my eyebrows 10/10 reccomend so far

I’m 41 btw and it’s the first collagen I have tried

I’ve been using ancient and brave (after lots of research). I loved the wild collagen (marine) and I’m trying bovine this month as it was on sale in boots (still ancient and brave). I’ve decided I prefer marine so will go back to that next month.

I was between ancient and brave and nutrition geek. Ancient and brave is stronger so you need 2 heaped teaspoons rather than nutrition geeks table spoons. I also like the jar it comes in so don’t mind it being on the kitchen shelf.

I’m 43 and my skin has really improved. My hair is also growing - I noticed this morning.

AnneShirleysNewDress · 05/10/2025 20:00

@ridingfreely Are you using bovine or marine? I keep reading that you can add it to coffee, which I don’t drink, so it’s reassuring you’ve been taking it in tea.

legalseagull · 05/10/2025 20:01

Another vote for ancient and brave. I’m 40 and have one teaspoon in my morning coffee. Can’t taste it at all. After 6 weeks the line between my eyebrows looks miles better. My nails were bendy and ridged before but are now looking great. Included a before and after eyebrow shot…

Finding this thread interesting
Im a 59 ( yesterday 🥳) vegetarian are there any alternatives to the marine and bovine
I don’t have wrinkles ( no idea why ) but hair and nails are a mess

Hope you don’t mind me asking on your thread OP
Happy to delete if you wish

LawdAMercy · 05/10/2025 20:02

I was using Feel which worked well but has sweeteners so just ordered A+B. Went for bovine as was worried the marine one might taste fishy. Not clear what the difference is (if any)

Furknickersandglitz · 05/10/2025 20:06

@BrownTroutBluesAgain don't mind at all. We're all in the same boat 😘

Ive been using this for nearly a year now and I’ve not noticed any difference! If anything my hair is getting thinner and thinner!

Which one? Cannot see a photo (yet!) if you attached one….. do you have a link?

BittyItty · 05/10/2025 20:38

Wild nutrition’s collagen 500. My skin started to look better a week after taking it.

If you’re finding you have less hair ie thining
Try Regaine
The men’s version as it’s cheaper and who wants to pay more for exactly the same in a pink container
Ive been using it for a while and it really does work

cannyvalley · 06/10/2025 08:12

I use nutrition geeks collagen. I put it in my coffee. Joints less achey and skin looks better. I stopped for a few months (kept forgetting to order it) and saw a difference.

ridingfreely · 06/10/2025 10:36

@AnneShirleysNewDress I’m using the bovine one - True collagen is the name on the jar

FatLarrysBanned · 06/10/2025 10:41

If you are using Nutrition Geeks (which I also take) don't forget to add a good Vitamin C supplement to your daily routine as it is need to help absorb the collagen and the NG Collagen doesn't contain it - it does say why they don't add it on the product details on their website.

Mauvehoodie · 06/10/2025 10:45

I use this one and get it on subscription. https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B0CJVP7CSB?ref=ppxpt2mobbprodimage

i either add to coffee or mix into yoghurt. It’s pretty tasteless. I think it has helped but it’s hard to tell!

eta I like how it has vit c, hyalauronic acid and biotin (and I think sonething else!) in it too.

AnchorWHAT · 06/10/2025 13:03

Absolute collagen seems to be working for me. Theres a nice free gift if you subscribe too. If anyone wants to try i can refer you and youll get 15% off.

Maybe that's where I went wrong.

Have gone back to biotin for nails but my painful joints need something else. Might invest in Ancient and Brave next time though.

Belladog1 · 07/10/2025 13:42

I use Marine Collagen and I think it really works for hair loss. I haven't noticed any difference anywhere else, but I am definitely losing less hair. I buy mine on Amazon.
