My verrucas that I’ve had for over a decade have just vanished! I guess being pregnant did it haha. I’m so happy!

I had one for decades, tried all sorts to get rid of it, it just vanished eventually (not pregnancy related).
More unusually, I think, I had a keloid scar on my belly from a laparoscopy 10 years ago, which quite suddenly changed colour, shrivelled up and dropped off! Most bizarre.

I had one for about ten years. Tried everything to get rid of it. It finally buggered off when I was pregnant 🤷‍♀️

Uggbootsforever · 05/10/2025 18:07

I had a horrible cluster when I was 17/18, lasted for about 5 years no matter what I did, then one day I woke up and they had quite literally vanished over the course of a few days. Utterly weird!

Bottle the pregnancy hormones for the cure. 😊

Awww, I’m so pleased for you OP- you must be chuffed! My DD recently lost all hers practically overnight. She’d had them 5 or 6 years so not as long as you but she was delighted when they buggered off!

Thank you! Now if my husband could get rid of his haha

Wait, if all the verrucas are suddenly leaving after years, do they know something we don’t? 😱

Are they following the dolphins?

I had what felt like endless treatment for a decade. Then gave up. I was told one day it would just go. And one day it did. Same with dd. Loads and loads of treatments. Nothing. Stopped bothering. One day they went.

I think it’s best to not bother them! I mean they’re harmless after all!

My husband had at least 30 on his foot for 2 years and they just disappeared overnight.

You develop immunity to them eventually.

Strop · 05/10/2025 22:10

Exact same with pregnancy here!

Haha I think they just moved on to my husband cause he literally just noticed his first ever wart on his foot last week and he’s blaming me 😆. Not making this up 😆.

Something triggers your immune system to notice them and sort them out, pregnancy is one of those somethings I guess.

I’m 62 and had a verruca for 9 years. I can’t hope that pregnancy hormones will get rid of mine.

Tiredofwhataboutery · 06/10/2025 08:33

I had verrucas for years I froze them, bazuka’d coverered in duct tape, banana skin, black nail polish and fuckers kept coming back. I gave up and they just went. It has been over 20 years so I think imminent demolition but just in case I’ll grab a towel.

KillMeMounjaro · 06/10/2025 08:36

Not verrucas with me, but a few years ago I got warts all over my hands. Was so awful and embarrassing. Used all the remedies, nothing worked, then duct tape, nail varnish tea tree oil etc…
Then one day I took some sharp scissors and snipped two of them off (was excruciating and bloody) and they all disappeared in fright overnight!

Eixample · 06/10/2025 08:52

My daughter had a cluster on her foot recently. I tried to treat them at home, but this didn’t work, so I booked an appointment to have them frozen off. A few days later she scratched them so hard they bled. On the morning of the appointment, around a week afer this, I took a quick look and they had disappeared without trace. I wonder if it’s something like with molluscum contagiosum where if you can alert the immune system to them, it sorts them out.

SEmyarse · 06/10/2025 09:07

Couldn't get anything to touch DD's for years. She was being referred to specialists (because she was struggling to walk sometimes), and nothing worked. Until we went to America on hols, and they just disappeared.
