Last night I bought a beautiful coat from Vinted in a higher end label, I’d seen someone selling one the week before but it was out of my price range, then one came up a third of that price so I immediately purchased. However when I went back and looked at the items photos I realised they’d been copied from the other higher priced seller, description was copied too. The original seller had lots of photos and feedback so clearly legit, but the seller I bought from had no feedback and no other items listed.
I cancelled the purchase and reported to Vinted who banned the seller and took the listing down. However since then many more sellers of this brand have popped up clearly using photos from other peoples listings.
How does this work though? If I didn’t receive the right item I’d just report as not ok? Do they just hope that Vinted find in their favour?
