Best option for bathroom

Thinking ahead a bit but anticipating finding stepping into a normal bath to use overhead shower more difficult shortly. Might sell house in future. Would choosing a new walkiin bath with shower or a nice large shower only, be best in terms of future sale?

I would think having no bath might put some people of buying.

I think you're right. The step in baths don't look good but probably best idea. I would personally like just the shower but not great for a family house.

I have a family (three bedroom) house and just have a large shower. If I sold the house and the buyers wanted to put one in, it would be very straightforward.

Don’t not have what you want because some imaginary person in the future might not want the same thing.

I'd go with large shower but make sure you keep the bathroom layout so a future owner could reinstate a bath if they wanted to. My FIL has done this.
