Exciting morning, my new Dutch oven has just arrived, what shall I make first?!

It’s not quite a Le Creuset but is pink, has little oven gloves for the handles and I’m very pleased with it.

With a free Saturday ahead, quite fancy something bubbling away in it all day and thought I should put to MN what I should cook.

Stew

A big job lot of pasta sauce, that you start on the stove and then slow cook in the oven for the day. And then make homemade pizza tonight

this is the one I use, I tend to add some Harissa paste to it too for a bit of a kick

I use mine for Lancashire hotpot )although I tweak the recipe by adding white wine )😜and it’s delicious! Definitely a fan favourite.

I mean I’m just calling it what it said on the product description and box…

Ah ok! Those pesky Americanisms get everywhere. I thought if you were American that you’d have no idea what Lancashire hotpot is so I might need to explain that it is actually food rather than a different name for a Dutch oven. 😝
